Graduate Photography FAQ
YOUR PHOTO SHOOT
Q. Where are the studios located?
A. We will be well signposted on the day. We will make sure there are signs from the gowning hall to our studios.
Q. What time are the studios open?
A. We start taking pictures as soon as the gowners have opened and we generally finish about an hour after the last ceremony of the day. If in doubt, please check with our Sales staff on the Sales desk.
Q. Do I have to book a time?
A. Due to the nature of the day, it is impossible to offer a booking system. We operate on a first come first served basis, so it is advisable to arrive early. If you pre-order you will avoid queuing for the sales desk. It tends to get busy just before and just after a ceremony. It also gets busy in between ceremonies held on the same day. If you intend to have family photography taken as well as those of yourself, please make sure all your family is with you when you attend - they cannot be taken at different times. We will provide you with a scroll to hold.
Q. A member of my family is disabled/cannot stand for long periods what should I do about having my photographs taken?
A. Pre-order your photographs if possible. On the day of your ceremony, speak to one of our Sales staff who will be happy to assist you and advise you of what best to do and where to go.
Q. Do you have any advice on what to wear?
Women: White or plain coloured blouse, with buttons down front or a brooch for the academic hood to attach to. Suit, skirt or trousers, whichever you prefer. Men: White or plain coloured long sleeved shirt, Tie for the academic hood to go under. Suit, or jacket and trousers.
Q. How long will my photographs take to arrive?
A. They will be sent to you by post 4-6 weeks after your ceremony.
Q. If I need more photographs later on, can I still order them?
A. Yes, a re-order form is enclosed with your photography pack.

PLACING YOUR ORDER
Q. Do you need to know the date of my Graduation?
A. In order to place your order on line you will need to enter the date of your graduation.
Q. I have lost my order form/receipt - what should I do?
A. Please contact our Customer Services department on 0370 2421170 who will issue you with a new receipt.
Q. Can I still pre-order my photographs?
A. Photographs can be pre-ordered up to 10 working days before the actual ceremony, the ceremony will then be closed online but you can still order on the day by visiting the sales desk.
Q. What if I have not heard from you 10 days after I have placed my order?
A. You should have received an acknowledgement card which you will need to take to your ceremony. If you don’t receive this please e-mail our Customer Services on email@example.com
Q. What do I receive in the packs?
A. At the time of placing your order on our website, each pack will be displayed and described in detail.
Q. Can I split the packs?
A. The packs are designed to give you value for money for your pictures, for this reason we cannot split the packs. For instance, if you order family photographs you cant have two different poses or different groupings. If you would like more than one pose/grouping then you will need to order another set.
Q. How can I pay?
A. You can order online using any VISA/MasterCard or Credit/Debit card. On the day you can also pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card.
Q. Do I have to order the Award Presentation Photograph before the ceremony?
A. Award Presentation photographs for most Universities will only be available in our online gallery approximately 5 days after the ceremony. Orders for Awards cannot be taken before the ceremony.
Q. I have already paid, but cannot attend the ceremony now. Can I get a refund?
A. Yes, return your prepaid card and we will supply a refund less a small administration charge of 1.50. If you prefer, you can transfer your order to a future ceremony. You can call or email Customer Services to let us know if you wish to do this.
